March 3, 2010

Staying in bed longer than usual.  Kids gathered, chatting, giggling.

Relieved when a meeting for the afternoon is canceled, decide to skip the shower today.

Sick husband in bed, playing on his iphone.

Scale shows a loss, but why?  I didn’t deserve it.  (The meeting inspired me to hop back on the wagon.)

Bringing a tray of Chicken Noodle Soup and soda crackers with butter to the sickie upstairs.

A phone call to a friend, who helps center my resolve to figure out how to teach this new class.

Sitting on the couch, TV on for company, figuring out schedules, reading over text books.

A lonely boy comes in from the bus, the girls left at school.

Watching “Cyber Chace” with Nicholas, munching on Cheez Itz (Dammit!)

Driving to school to get the girls, sun low in the sky.

Surrounded by Girl Scout Cookies.  Little stacks litter the living room.  Sarah organizing each order and labeling them with post-its.

Beginning to cook dinner, reading the recipe and then realizing that I FORGOT THE SOUR CREAM.  A major ingredient.

Driving to the store to get the SOUR CREAM.

Making the dinner I planned even though dinner will be late(r) now.

Bagging Girl Scout Cookies with my awesome daughter.

Surfing around and catching up on the computer, and now getting a post up before bed.

Feeling exhausted, tired, and sleepy.  I need to do a little more work and then hit the sack

Good night dear friends.

Girl Scout cookies can be good or bad depending on your perspective. Good on the taste buds, bad on the butt cheeks. But, let’s face it, YUM always wins. (DAMMIT!)

I forgot sour cream today, too. UNLIKE you I made tomorrow’s dinner tonight because I was NOT going out again! Have a restful sleep, cuz tomorrow’s gonna be here soon!

Now, see? You had a “tomorrow’s dinner” and I did not. There is the problem! It was a good thing that dinner was yummy! How was yours?
